Early Diagnosis
Early Diagnosis is a critical phase in the management of your condition.

Expert imaging and diagnostic testing to establish a precise diagnosis
Improvements in the quality and accuracy of diagnostic imaging services have greatly improved the detection of abnormal growths or tumours. We utilise the latest in imaging technology such as MRI, and PET scans to define problematic areas with the highest of accuracy. Additionally all of our practices are equipped with a dedicated radiotherapy CT scanner which is used to provide up to date specific imaging customised to your treatment planning needs.
Genesis Cancer Care is also equipped to perform Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) at all our sites to enable ongoing image verification throughout your course of treatment.

Conformal radiation therapy
Conformal radiation therapy, a technique that uses scanning to produce images of the tumour, allowing radiation to be delivered in high doses in precisely the right area, even in tumours that are irregular in shape, or are in delicate areas such as the brain.
Intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT)
Intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), a technique that treats the tumour with small beams of different strengths of radiation to enhance the sparing of normal tissue and maximise the dose to the tumour area especially in certain body sites.
Brachytherapy
Brachytherapy, a technique that places radiation in direct contact with the tumour, usually through temporary or permanent implants in the form of radioactive “seeds” or catheters.
