About GenesisCare

GenesisCare is Australia's largest provider of radiation oncology, cardiology and sleep treatments.

With more than 1400 employees, GenesisCare provides essential health care services across more than 125 sites and clinics ranging from the major capital cities to regional and rural centres.

GenesisCare exists to fill the treatment gap for the biggest disease burdens in Australia -- cancer and cardiovascular disease -- in an environment of substantial unmet need from an ageing population.

GenesisCare is currently involved in or leading more than 110 clinical trials. The group uses its national network to coordinate and share clinical information and know-how, helping inform future approaches to treatment and care.

CancerCare

genesis-cancer-care-smallGenesis CancerCare is the largest provider of radiotherapy in Australia.

Each year the group performs around 320,000 treatments through its network of 23 sites.

In the next 18 months, the organisation will continue to expand its services with new centres in south-east Melbourne (Casey), South Sydney (Hurstville) and at the Fiona Stanley Hospital in South Perth. Medical oncology services are currently offered at Shenton House in Joondalup (Perth) and plans are underway to expand this more broadly in the coming year.

Genesis CancerCare treats all patients referred to its service irrespective of their financial situation. Across our centres, flexible fee arrangements are provided on an individual patient basis to allow everyone rapid access to high quality care.

HeartCare

genesis-heart-care-smallGenesis HeartCare comprises the largest group of privately practicing cardiologists in Australia.

The network comprises 4 cardiology practices, with more than 20 metropolitan sites and 50 regional clinics seeing over 220,000 patients annually.

Heart disease is complex and the decisions around treatment are often not straight forward. In 2004, Genesis HeartCare commenced a pioneering journey to improve their systems for monitoring the care and outcomes of their patients as part of their commitment to evidence-based care. Nearly 6,000 patients are now enrolled in the Genesis HeartCare Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) database which comprises important data about the network's clinical practice and outcomes. This information is used to enable Genesis HeartCare to better understand the patient condition, care choices available, expected results of treatments and how patients can make lifestyle decisions to improve their health. SleepCare

genesis-sleep-care-smallGenesis SleepCare is a leading sleep consulting, diagnostic and treatment group that treats both insured and uninsured patients through one of the largest networks of in-patient sleep centres in Australia.

Genesis SleepCare commenced in Queensland as 'Respiratory and Sleep Specialists' and its first sleep study was performed at The Wesley Hospital in 1989. Since then, the service has grown to cater for patients in the Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia as well as expanding to a larger Queensland presence including a number of regional centres.
